Formal Supply Tenders (Public Tender)
A formal supply (Public Tenders) usually calls for City material, equipment or service needs of a significantly high dollar value for which a competitive market is known, or expected, to exist. Formal supply tenders are open to all vendors.
Formal tenders issued by a City or Township will have a public opening immediately following the time that the tender is due. All venders that are interested or members of the general public are invited to attend. The tenders will be opened, in the order that they were received. The vendor's name, product /model (if applicable) along with the bid price will be read aloud and recorded. The successful bid will not be announced at the opening and a contract will not be awarded until all the tenders have been evaluated by City or Township staff and the appropriate approvals obtained.
